YES, my Dad *finally* got off his lazy bum and figured out how to upload pics from our new camera. Wheeee, this is probably my fave still-life I've done yet. The pencils came out a little scratchy, but I'm glad the satin-y feeling still came through. This pic is my own little tribute to classical ballet 'cause I've been dancing it for eleven years and it is probably the greatest passion of my life. (Probably ties with art. ) These are actually my own pointe shoes, though I tried to hide how beat-up they were. Hope you guys like! Dance ROCKS!
Oooooh thanks! (Floating feather? Really? I don't think that was intentional, but hey, that's awesome too! My teacher actually thought I had bad composition for this one. :-/ ) Hey, jazz dancer! Nice! I wish I could do jazz, but I'm not too good with moving to offbeats and to modern music. *SIIIGH* Thank u again. ^^

thank u! ^^ actually, funny story about the texture... the pencil and the charcoal actually smeared together (without my help) but somehow made it more stain-y. happy mistakes are my friend, hehe.

You definately know how to handle value nicely! The transition in the values flow so nicely! The shoes look so smooth! They definately don't look old and beat up, heh! The composition on this is great, as well!
